SSG Neal L. Bolin

Staff Sergeant Neal L. Bolin of Bessemer, Alabama, died on 12 February 1996 from multiple injuries sustained during a search and rescue mission in Panama.

Bolin enlisted in the Army National Guard as a 91A, Medical Specialist, in 1987. He completed the Special Forces Medical Sergeant Course while assigned to 1st Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group. Upon transitioning to active duty, he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, deploying in support of Operation JUST CAUSE, SAFE HAVEN, and SAFE PASSAGE.

SSG Bolin was serving as a Medical Sergeant with Company C, 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group at the time of his death.
