A native of Roy, Washington, Sergeant Thomas F. Allison was killed on 22 February 2002 in an MH-47 helicopter crash at sea, near Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines.

Allison enlisted in the Army in 1998 and graduated from the Medium Helicopter Repairer Course. He then completed Green Platoon and was assigned to 4th Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington, in the Aviation Life Support Equipment Section. In 2001, SGT Allison joined Company E, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Republic of Korea.

He was supporting Operation ENDURING FREEDOM-PHILIPPINES at the time of his death.
