Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jody L. Egnor, a native of Middletown, Ohio, was killed on 22 February 2002 in an MH-47 helicopter crash at sea, near Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines.

Egnor enlisted in the Army in 1988, and served as a UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter Crewman until 1995. After completing Warrant Officer Candidate School and Flight School, he joined the 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, as a CH-47 pilot. In 1999, Egnor completed Green Platoon, and was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was assigned to Company E, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Republic of Korea, in 2001.

CW2 Egnor was supporting Operation ENDURING FREEDOM-PHILIPPINES at the time of his death.
