Sergeant Jeremy D. Foshee, from Pisgah, Alabama, was killed on 22 February 2002 in an MH-47 helicopter crash at sea, near Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines.

Foshee enlisted in the Army in 1995 as a Medium Helicopter Repairer, and was assigned to 8th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In 1998, he transferred to 2nd Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea. He completed Green Platoon in 2000, and was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

SGT Foshee was assigned to Company E, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment as an MH-47 Crew Chief in 2001, and was supporting Operation ENDURING FREEDOM-PHILIPPINES at the time of his death.
