SSG Kerry W. Frith

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Staff Sergeant Kerry W. Frith was killed on 22 February 2002 in an MH-47 helicopter crash at sea, near Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines.
Frith enlisted in the Army in 1987 as a Medium Helicopter Repairer. In 1991, he completed Green Platoon and was assigned as a Flight Engineer to 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed to Saudi Arabia as part of Operations DESERT SHIELD/STORM, and to Somalia in support of Task Force Ranger. In 2001, he joined Company E, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Republic of Korea.
SSG Frith was supporting Operation ENDURING FREEDOM-PHILIPPINES at the time of his death.
