SSG Timothy M. Conneway

Staff Sergeant Timothy M. Conneway, of Enterprise, Alabama, died on 28 June 2003 of wounds received two days prior when the vehicle he was in struck an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq.
Conneway enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in 1999 and completed Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, the Basic Airborne Course, and the Ranger Indoctrination Program at Fort Benning, Georgia. In 2000 he was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia, and he later graduated from the Army Ranger Course.
SSG Conneway was serving as a team leader with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM at the time of his death.
