MSG Kevin N. Morehead

A native of Arkansas, Master Sergeant Kevin N. Morehead was killed in action on 12 September 2003 near the town of Ar-Ramadi, Iraq.

Morehead enlisted in the Army as a Combat Medic in 1989 and completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. After participating in Operations DESERT SHIELD/STORM, he volunteered for the Special Forces Qualification Course. On graduating in 1994 he was assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

MSG Morehead was assigned as a Team Sergeant in 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, supporting Operation IRAQI FREEDOM at the time of his death.
