LTC Anthony L. Sherman

A Pennsylvania native, Lieutenant Colonel Anthony L. Sherman died of a cardiac arrest on 27 August 2003 in Kuwait while supporting Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.

Sherman was commissioned as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1982. After becoming a Civil Affairs Officer, he deployed twice to Bosnia with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Stabilization Force.

LTC Sherman was assigned as the Plans Officer to the 304th Civil Affairs Brigade, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the time of his death.
