MSG Robert M. Horrigan

A native of Limestone, Maine, Master Sergeant Robert M. Horrigan died 17 June 2005 as a result of wounds suffered in combat near Al Qaim, Iraq.
Horrigan enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in May 1984 and completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia before serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment. After graduating from the Special Forces Qualification Course in September 1991, he was assigned as a Weapons Sergeant to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
MSG Horrigan was serving as a Special Operations Team Member in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM at the time of his death.
