A native of Sonoma, California, Corporal Timothy M. Shea died 25 August 2005, from an improvised explosive device near Husaybah, Iraq.

Shea enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in January 2003 and completed Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, and the Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, Georgia. He graduated from the Ranger Indoctrination Program in August 2003.

CPL Shea was assigned as a machine gun team leader in 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. He served in five combat deployments in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
