A native of Rochester, New York, Specialist Teodoro Torres died 5 May 2006, from an improvised explosive device near Al Hillah, Iraq.

Torres enlisted in January 1998 in the U.S. Army Reserve Army as a Civil Affairs Specialist. Later that year he completed the Civil Affairs Specialist Course at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

SPC Torres was assigned as a Civil Affairs Specialist in 490th Civil Affairs Battalion, Abilene, Texas, where he served until his death during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
