CPL Jason M. Kessler

A native of Mount Vernon, Washington, Corporal Jason M. Kessler died on 30 July 2007 in northern Iraq while supporting Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
After graduating from The Masters College in Santa Clarita, California, Kessler enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in 2005. He completed Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, Airborne School, and the Ranger Indoctrination Program.
CPL Kessler was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington, as an automatic rifleman when he suffered fatal wounds from an enemy rocket-propelled grenade.
