CPT Benjamin D. Tiffner

A native of Ohio, Captain Benjamin D. Tiffner died on 7 November 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device.
A 2000 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, Tiffner was commissioned in the Infantry. In 2006, he graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
CPT Tiffner was assigned as an Operational Detachment-Alpha team leader in 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM when he died.
