A native of Old Town, Maine, Sergeant Nicholas A. Robertson died on 3 April 2008 from wounds sustained on 2 April 2008 in the Zahn Khan District, Afghanistan.

Robertson enlisted in the Army as a Cryptologic Linguist in 2005 after earning a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maine. Following Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

SGT Robertson was assigned to the Military Intelligence Detachment, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group when he sustained fatal wounds during dismounted combat operations in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
