SGT Justin B. Allen

A native of Ashland, Kentucky, Sergeant Justin B. Allen died 18 July 2010, when he was struck by small arms fire while his unit was conducting combat operations in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

Allen enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in May 2006. He served for three years with 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia.

SGT Allen graduated from the Ranger Indoctrination Program in October 2007 and was assigned as a grenadier and automatic rifleman to 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, where he served until his death.
