SGT Clinton K. Ruiz

A native of Murrieta, California, Sergeant Clinton K. Ruiz died 25 October 2012, of wounds sustained from enemy small arms fire while his unit was conducting combat operations in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

Ruiz enlisted in the Army as a Psychological Operations Specialist in May 2009. He was assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Reassigned in February 2012, SGT Ruiz was serving with 9th Psychological Operations Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, at the time of his death.
