SSG Dustin M. Wright

A native of Lyons, Georgia, Staff Sergeant Dustin M. Wright was killed while conducting a reconnaissance patrol near Tongo Tongo, Niger, on 4 October 2017.
Wright enlisted in the Army as a Special Forces Candidate in 2012. The following year, he graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
SSG Wright was a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, when he was killed by enemy gunfire during contingency operations.
